YaYa Baby

Well, many of you have asked about the name YaYa Baby Slings so I thought I'd introduce you to YaYa:
This is my free-spirited YaYa Baby. Obviously that's not her real name, but the story behind her nickname is funny. Many of you may know, but YaYa's daddy lived in South Korea and though he is a tall white boy, he knows how to speak Korean. Now, I was born in South Korea but was raised in Texas and know more about the intricacies of southern BBQ than I do about the types of kimchee (though I'm learning!). Anyway, the her daddy kept "calling" my sweet baby girl "yaya" and I thought, "Oh, what a cute nickname" and it just stuck. Later someone asked where the name came from and I said, "I don't know, her dad just calls her that." So, I finally asked the him where he got the nickname "yaya." He had a quizzical look. Turns out in Korea when you want to get someone's attention you say "ya!" (sort of like our "hey"). Evidently he was just yelling at her!

Oh...it all makes sense now!
"Ya!Ya! don't eat the tube of bubblegum toothpaste!"
"Ya!Ya! don't tear apart the board book!"
"Ya!Ya! don't write on the laptop with Sharpie!"
"Ya!Ya! don't cover the bathroom with baby wash!"

Well, we're so glad she was a little mischief maker because now we have our sweet YaYa Baby Slings! We hope you're all enjoying your slings!
