Spring and Summer are approaching and it's a great time to gear up for great babywearing weather!! Wearing your baby is great when you're out and about in the nice weather: at the zoo, in the park, at the baseball games, at the pool, at soccer practice, outside barbecuing... Where ever you are, having a sling can give you a little more freedom to maneuver around! I even loved wearing my little one to the pool or lake in the sling -- then I could walk into the water but still have my hands free!
We've got new summertime fabrics to choose from! Check them out on our fabrics page!
Happy Spring!

Fall is here!!
Fall is upon us and that means...
...cool evenings
...pumpkin pie
...apples
...football games
...autumn leaves
And best of all...CUTE and COZY new fabrics!!
Slings are so great for the fall and winter months because 1) your babies are warm and cozy next to you, 2) they are not getting touched with yucky germy hands, and 3) you stay warm too! We've added two cuddly fleece fabrics this fall. Moms love the fleece because it's so soft and it has a nice bit of stretch. We have also added super soft corduroy and flannel fabrics! We've also incorporated some of the popular color palettes this fall -- the super cute brown, green, and even orange! So click on over and see what fall at YaYa Baby Slings has to offer!

YaYa Baby
Well, many of you have asked about the name YaYa Baby Slings so I thought I'd introduce you to YaYa:
This is my free-spirited YaYa Baby. Obviously that's not her real name, but the story behind her nickname is funny. Many of you may know, but YaYa's daddy lived in South Korea and though he is a tall white boy, he knows how to speak Korean. Now, I was born in South Korea but was raised in Texas and know more about the intricacies of southern BBQ than I do about the types of kimchee (though I'm learning!). Anyway, the her daddy kept "calling" my sweet baby girl "yaya" and I thought, "Oh, what a cute nickname" and it just stuck. Later someone asked where the name came from and I said, "I don't know, her dad just calls her that." So, I finally asked the him where he got the nickname "yaya." He had a quizzical look. Turns out in Korea when you want to get someone's attention you say "ya!" (sort of like our "hey"). Evidently he was just yelling at her!
Oh...it all makes sense now!
"Ya!Ya! don't eat the tube of bubblegum toothpaste!"
"Ya!Ya! don't tear apart the board book!"
"Ya!Ya! don't write on the laptop with Sharpie!"
"Ya!Ya! don't cover the bathroom with baby wash!"
Well, we're so glad she was a little mischief maker because now we have our sweet YaYa Baby Slings! We hope you're all enjoying your slings!

The little sling that could...
You can see how much Emmett has loved his sling...and how much I love wearing it!!! He's now over 23 pounds and still loves it!
The sling has been...
Hiking in Sun Valley:
All over Disneyland:
Hiking around Eastern Idaho (Mesa Falls and near the Tetons):
Picking out Pumpkins:
To the beach (I can't believe I'm putting a picture of me in a bathingsuit!!):
In beautiful Big Sky, Montana (top of Lone Mountain and Ousel Falls):
